Did you know that every month, there is a First Friday and a First Saturday devotion?
We are encouraged to pray them with our families!
First Friday Devotion
On the first Friday of each month, Catholics who practice the First Friday Devotion go to Mass and receive Holy Communion to honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Jesus promised Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque that anyone who does this for nine months in a row will receive special graces and help from Him.
First Saturday Devotion
On the first Saturday of each month, Catholics honor the Immaculate Heart of Mary. To do this, you:
Go to Confession.
Receive Holy Communion.
Pray the Rosary.
Spend 15 minutes meditating on the 15 mysteries of the Rosary.
Pray for the Pope.
Mary promised St Lucia that anyone doing this for five months will bring special graces and help.
Both devotions help us grow closer to Jesus and Mary and ask for their blessings!
Have you introduced these beautiful devotions to your children yet?
We put together simple, easy-to-use printables to make it easy to follow along with these devotions.
Each purchase supports us with making more Catholic animations to help more children grow in their faith.
