You may wonder how you could inspire your kids to live saintly lives! Yes, the ones where running around and screaming is a daily occurrence.
Those children. Yes, those children — can become saints, and you can help them.
There are many methods you can use to inspire your kids towards saintly lives, but today we are going to tell you about one, a powerful one.
This source of inspiration has worked generation after generation.
This inspiration has completely transformed the lives of many.
It inspired a man named Ignatius to turn from a military career to founding the Society of Jesus. We now know him as Saint Ignatius of Loyola.
This source of inspiration converted Edith Stein from atheism to Catholicism and into the Carmelite Order.
This inspiration is the saints. Specifically, stories of the saints. People who rooted their lives in Christ.
You can use stories of the saints to inspire your kids too.
Saint Ignatius read a collection of saints’ lives, and Edith Stein read The Life of Teresa of Jesus.
Many other saints were heavily influenced by their readings of previous saints.
Saint Augustine was influenced from the story of Saint Anthony of the Desert. Saint Thérèse of Lisieux received inspiration from the writings of Saint John of the Cross.
The saints continue to inspire people around the world today.
One of our motivations for our new animation series, the Songs of the Saints, and the Prayers of the Saints is because we know the impact saints can have on children — young and young at heart alike! Which saint’s story would you love to share with the kids in your life? 💬
3 Reasons to Teach Saints to Catholic Children
1️⃣ “REAL LIFE” role models: They are ordinary people who lived extraordinary lives of faith, courage, and kindness. 🕊️
2️⃣ Connecting Kids to the Catholic Faith: Saints teach kids about prayer, sacraments, and trusting God every day. ⛪
3️⃣ They Foster Virtues and Values: Learn patience, kindness, and perseverance from their stories. 🌿
